My weight problem started when I was in my 40’s. I always blamed it on the “hormone thing!” Couldn’t possibly be that my eating habits had totally changed. I tried every diet and had various levels of success. But they all had two things in common. I never came close to my goal weight, and I never kept off the weight that I managed to lose. My daughter-in-law (bless her heart) had heard about Ideal Protein and convinced me to go with her to check it out. I was skeptical. Secretly my problem was that I didn’t want to pay to have someone help me lose weight. One of my smart children encouraged me by saying that it would be an investment in my health, and that if I could have done it on my own, I would have already done it!

Before Ideal Protein, I lost 20 pounds on my own. It took eight months. After starting the Ideal Protein plan, I lost 48 pounds in less than six months. I’ve always heard that you shouldn’t expect a rapid weight loss, but it’s so encouraging when you truly follow this program you can lose at least ten pounds a month. Really keeps the incentive there. And the program is easy to follow.

I had all the same questions that everyone has, and I had all the same reasons for not wanting to try. I am so thankful that I went with my daughter-in-law that first day. I have rheumatoid arthritis and my rheumatologist told me that if I didn’t get rid of some weight, I would not be able to walk in the near future. After the weight loss, I feel as though my R.A. has gone into remission. I take fewer drugs to keep it under control and can now exercise and walk as much as I like. (Truthfully I’m still not keen on exercise but I do love my walks.)
